About the Project

Our clients wanted the apartment refurbished and redesigned to include two bedroom suites, a kitchen, separate utility and cloakroom, new flooring and ceiling details with ambient lighting.

We removed all the interior walls and took the apartment back to the existing four structural pillars which still allowed us to recreate all spaces with our client’s specific requirements in mind.

To enjoy the beautiful sunset views at the rear of the apartment, we redesigned and opened the living room, also adding an open plan kitchen, dining and bar area. The new reception now allows easy access to a double terrace with the wooden patio doors that are refitted to bi-fold, tidily sitting onto the exterior terrace walls. New interior walls were built throughout using a wooden frame structure, in-filled with insulation and double boarded in plasterboard, giving additional sound insulation. This allowed us to quickly recreate the space, avoiding significant disruption and mess.

We added wooden panelling to the new entrance corridor, with pocket doors left and right, giving easy access to the two bedroom suites and an additional room providing a cloakroom with a further pocket door to a utility room. The apartment was dressed with large square off-white tiles inside and out, finished with wooden skirting and solid oak flooring in the two bedroom areas.

All walls were re-plastered to a fine finish after all new cables and new water pipes were installed throughout. All ceilings were remade to greatly improving the lighting.

We added elegant drop pendant lamps in the master suite either side of the bed. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets, most sanitary ware items and taps etc, were chosen in a black matt.

The two beautiful emerald green ceramic wash bowls in the master suite contrast well with generous shower and bath areas, bringing a luxury feel to the apartment.

Walls and ceilings were painted in a quality off-white paint to accent walls decorated in a choice of striking wallpapers. What was a bland, boxy and unimaginative space was transformed into what our delighted clients call their ’mini palace’.
