Hotel Suites

About the Project

After visiting the suite before we started the works, our immediate impression was that it seemed dark and musty with not enough storage space. The water aircon system was leaking in many different places, the breakfast bar collided with the front door and the pull down bed was a mission to open.

As you opened the front door, if the door was not closed, you saw the loo, accessed via the kitchen! The kitchen was not really adequate to make family meals. As well as this, the space for what could be an attractive terrace was filled with an awkwardly placed banquette seat and a forlorn, leaking planter!

By changing the floor to include whitish stone look tiles throughout, we immediately made the space feel brighter and larger, connecting the terrace and garden views inside.

We re-designed the space at the front door and installed a family kitchen, with an eating area and re-located the door to the shower room.

We spent time investigating and tracking the problems with the aircon system, reworked the shower areas and tiled with large floor to ceiling tiles, and finally, added wardrobes.

We improved the lighting by adding elegant glass drop down pendant lights above the master bed, LED strips and a sensor light in the shower room.

Outside, we re-designed the location and seat height of the banquette, removed the planter to gain space for a round wooden table for outside dining and, of course, added some ambient lighting.
